University of Aberdeen Jazz Workshop

This afternoon some members of the UoA Jazz Orchestra came along to our wind band rehearsal to run a performance and improvisation workshop with our young people. They learned a couple of pieces and developed their skills and confidence with improvisation and sounded great for a first attempt. The jazz orchestra will be returning on Wednesday 14th November to give a lunchtime concert and our young people have been invited along to perform with them which is a fantastic opportunity for them. Rumour has it that our own Mr Harris will also be singing along with them so it will be well worth coming along to see. The concert will take place at 1.00 in the school hall.
