SENIOR PHASE (NATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS)
All of our young people from S4 - S6 are given the opportunity to choose from a variety of SQA courses in Music performance and technology.
NATIONAL 4/5 MUSIC WITH PERFORMING - 4 periods per week
NATIONAL 4/5 MUSIC WITH TECHNOLOGY - 4 periods per week
NPA CREATIVE INDUSTRIES - 4 periods per week
HIGHER MUSIC WITH PERFORMING - 5 periods per week
MUSICAL THEATRE NPA - 5 periods per week (running again 2020/21 session)
ADVANCED HIGHER MUSIC - 5 periods per week
MUSIC TECHNOLOGY SHORTCOURSE - 1 period per week
MUSIC PERFORMING SHORTCOURSE - 1 period per week
We have a very strong uptake in Music and have on average presented approximately 30 - 40 National 5 candidates , 15-20 Higher candidates and around 5 Advanced Higher candidates per year and our numbers are continuing to grow as we are able to offer more new courses. Our young people achieve a high standard in Music, and we have an excellent pass rate at all certificate course levels.
