Welcome Back

Welcome back - we hope you have had a fantastic summer holiday and are looking forward to getting started again. Loads of exciting things coming up in the Music Department this year to look forward to. We are delighted to welcome back Mr Fraser Harris as the newest member of our team and he will be based in MU1. Miss Barrie is currently Acting Faculty Head, taking over on a temporary basis from Mr Callum Stuart who moved on after summer. We are also looking forward to working with Mr Matt Smith our new Drama teacher who joins our Performing Arts team, along with our new dance teachers from the college.

We are in the process of getting some more new computers built so we will now have 2 rooms with computers in the department to cope with our growing demand for Music Technology. With almost 80 pupils sitting National 5 Music Performing and Technology courses, 19 Highers, 5 Advanced Highers, 4 x S3 classes and 5 x S2 classes as well as our new S1 cohort, Musical Theatre NPA and S2 Masterclass, our Music Technology Masterclass and our S1/S2 Wind Band classes, we are going to have a busy year ahead. BRING IT ON!!!!
