New Timetable Begins

Over the last 2 weeks our BGE young people have moved forward a year and our new timetable has begun. This has meant a lot of new and enthusiastic Music classes have started and we have enjoyed getting to know them over the last 2 weeks. We have been impressed with the motivation of the young people in Music and they have all shown a willingness to learn and have worked well so far. Our National 5 classes are already shaping up to be outstanding with the performing levels being extremely high at this early stage, with most playing National 5 and Higher level pieces already thanks to our young people's hard work with our new BGE Performing Course. We look forward to meeting and welcoming our S5/6 Senior Phase classes when they start next week.

As Mr Harris will be joining us after summer we have had to make some small changes to the timetable to make sure that all classes have access to a Music Teacher at least 2 out of 3 periods a week with all certificate classes having a Music Teacher every period. The young people have been extremely understanding, patient and co-operative with this which we feel says a lot about the positive relationships we develop with them in the Music Department. We are really excited about the future with increasing numbers of young people becoming involved in Music.
