Welcome Back

We are back and ready to go after our Easter break and looking forward to another full and busy term with lots of opportunities for our young people and exciting learning going on. We welcome back our student teacher Mr Fraser Harris who joined us again at the beginning of this term for another 4 weeks before he officially graduates as a newly qualified Music Teacher in summer.

This is exam time for our Senior Phase pupils with our SQA Understanding Music exams taking place on Wednesday 2nd May and our Advanced Higher performing exam also taking place next month. We hope our young people are making the most of the time left to revise carefully at home, and our staff are on hand at all times to offer any advice and help with this. We wish all of our young people all the best with their final exams.

Term 4 is our Summer Concert term. More details will follow but we hope to get a big turnout again and look forward to seeing our young people showing off their achievements in Music on the stage once again. We will also have some performances to organise for our End of Term Awards Ceremony where we will look forward to announcing the winners of our Musician of the Year, attainment and achievement awards.

This is also the term where we begin our new timetable so we are looking forward to welcoming a new batch of enthusiastic young musicians, along with our young people who are continuing to learn music in the next year. Exciting times ahead!
