Ex Pupil Musical Success
We are delighted with the success of one of our ex pupils Lachlan Will (formerly known as James Will) who has been working hard to break into the Music industry. Together with our current S6 pupil Keir Smith they formed the band The Cliftons while they were in S4 with some other young people from the Aberdeen area. Lachlan (AKA James) plays guitar and sings with the band and Keir plays the bass guitar.
Both started to learn the guitar and bass guitar while they were in S2 Music. They have achieved a lot of success locally and across Scotland by playing gigs in several locations from Aberdeen to Edinburgh. They have performed at festivals alongside names such as the Fratellis and they supported the Bluetones at the Lemon Tree. Achieving many rave reviews, the Cliftons have released 2 EP's and a few singles, which contain many songs they have written themselves. They were also nominated for one of the Pride of Aberdeen awards for the "One to Watch" music category. We predict big things for these talented young people and are extremely proud to say they started their musical career in our very own Music Department!
